Here I will be giving a honest rating of a Sims 4 pack based on my own thoughts. Before I begin I will mention that this is a review of DLC for a game that is created by Maxis and published by EA. I did not create the images contained in this post, I merely took a screenshot of Sims 4 gameplay for entertainment purposes. We will take the post down if it is requested by the original owner.
Now this add-on adds vampires, furniture, and cosmetics to your character. It also brings in a new world where vampires live. With this add-on you can become a vampire and level up to gain more powers throughout the game. I, for one, enjoy the old-time like furniture that it brings in. I highly recommend this add-on for anyone who enjoys this kind of fictional gameplay.
One big change that happened on my first time becoming a vampire was that the sims needs menu changed. Some of the bars were removed to make way for a vampire energy bar. There’s also power points which allow you to gain powers, however to get more powers you need to level up by reading the vampire books and using your powers more often. There are 5 levels that you can reach, and as you reach a new level, a new column is unlocked. Although, to unlock more powers you must also choose a weakness.
Another change you will notice is that the diamond above the vampire sim you are controlling will now have a ring around it with a picture of a bat on it. The needs that you will still have is hygiene, social, and fun, these all act the same as if you weren’t a vampire. The drink feature goes down a bit slower than regular hunger would, however, if you wanted to play peacefully without feeding on mortal sims it would take several packs of plasma to fully suffice it.
Now if you aren’t a fan of supernatural things, this pack also includes a multitude of gothic furniture and cosmetics. It also adds a few new hairstyles to the game, however, I recommend that you get it on sale. If you are looking to get this for the furniture/cosmetics but don’t like the vampires, don’t worry, as long as you don’t look into researching them or talking about them, they will not bother you. As soon as you start the game a vampire will come to your house, as long as you do not interact with him he won’t bother you often.
I highly recommend this pack only if you are interested in vampires/gothic styled cosmetics. It is a great buy especially if it’s on sale. This pack has quite a bit to offer and I hope they add more mythical packs like this. I feel the sims could use more old-time furniture and cosmetics, it adds more of an authentic gameplay.
